WE 1911 - beavertail problem after disassembly + custom paint job
hey guys, i posted this in the Doctor's corner but didn,t get any help, figure some of you here might know something about it
here it is : recently gave my WE 1911 a complete professionnal custom paint job. problem after complete reassembly : if i physically remove the beavertail from the gun, it shoots perfectly fine. So no beavertail = works great. When the beavertail is installed as it should: if i don't hold down the beavertail, the trigger doesnt move, which serves its purpose, as it should. if i grab the gun and hold the gun normally, pressing down on the beavertail, the gun shoots weak, inconsistent, or dumps all the gas. Also, the hammer doesn't go forward completely. if i only apply slight pressure on the beavertail, making it go "half-way", then the gun shoots perfect. (needless to say this solution is not very user-friendly, and therefore not a solution) i've tried adjusting the leaf spring in all the ways possible, unsuccessful. its as if when the beavertail is fully "pushed in", something goes wrong. anyone know what i have to do?? thanks in advance. |

Hey,
Your beavertail safety, is it the original from the pistol ? or did you add it afterwards ? and where did you get it from? if you don't mind. |

What was painted on the gun? All of the gun including the controls? Did you paint the inside of the gun at all?
