Yes any Ver2 Parts will work in an ICS.

As for an M4
Only parts that are different are the mechbox, Anti reversal and hopup unit.. other than that its pretty much all the same.. oh and Bodies.. as You cannot get a aftermarket replacment..

MP5 shouldnt be much different.

I have replaced this tappet plate. I got a gaurder version II one from airsoftparts.ca. I found this one worked the best with ICS mechbox. The deepfire one, not so much.

ICS tappet is slightly wider in the body than any other tappet. You can use another tappet in an ICS gun, but not vice versa. The ICS tappet will not move when installed in a Marui mechbox for example. If you look at an ICS tappet, you can clearly see where the extra material is, as it's an extra couple thousandths of an inch thick and the moulding seam is visible.

hmmm thanks for the info mcguyver. Im ordering a modify v2 tappet plate. That should work right? I hate how certain brands have their own designs and make things iffy

Hi Folks, I know this is ancient Thread but how did it work out???
A buddy blew a stock piston first game out, I replaced it with a TM piston but
before reassembly i noticed the
tappet was mushrooming at the point where the Tab is hit by the sector gear.

I tried a used one i had but it cycled and then broke off the spring hook on said tappet,
I tried a Tm one and same thing, I have a Modify in my hand but dont really want
to toss $14 to the wind.

Other the the guarder, did the Modify tappet Work properly?
