deep fire mk2 gas grenade
I am looking into gettin to grenades and i was wondering if anybody had any experience with this modle? I am curious to find out what the sound level is. I would not like to have something that is as loud as a Thunder B mainly because it is more than likley not allowed at most games. From what I have read and seen on the interweb the make a pop noise not a bang like the above mentioned grenade. The other option that I have is the Tornado but it is a bit more expensive, Tornado = $100 Deep fire = $40. I also like the look of these a bit more too. My other question is there anybody who would have an objection to these being used in a CQC game? Let me know what you think.

If you compare this to a tornado in fact you are going to spend more in the long run.
When you let one of these go you may need to replace the shell as when the "pop" you could loose the pieces as people will move around the area and kick them unintentionally. A tornado is made here in canada and you will be supporting a fellow canadian airsofter. I find whenever i have had an issue with my tornado i can get it repaired quickly and parts are easier to find. just my .02

Not a fan of the Deep Fire mk2 grenade. WAY too many pieces to lose or get trampled on. I've heard the performance on them isn't great, either.
If you want something that makes a REAL bang, you should consider the Tornado Distraction Device, or the Deep Fire Stun Grenade which is even louder than the Tornado (and looks like a real stun grenade.) The downside, is that neither of these grenades will expend projectiles when they blow. But that's why you carry different grenade loads... some that shoot BB's, and some that bang. Toss both in at the same time. |

lol. well it's been a while
but yeah, tossing in both a DD and frag tornado into a room with the DD to go off first should prove to have some interesting results. maybe a slight delay on the timer with BB's followed by tossing in an impact with DD. Last edited by coach; January 23rd, 2011 at 17:59.. |

there are some mods on the net to help them fire more effectively anyone try them, anyone mod them to tie te shells together.
the only use i would see for them is to throw into a bunker that i know an enemy is in. or to toss behind a cover i need to get to. i don't think a huge spread is needed. and i've head the tornados will sometimes get stuck and not spin. seems usless at that point. i was going to get the thunder B but i don't want to be hurting any body's ears if i throw it into a bunker. |
