Holster for Sidearm w/ suppressor
Any suggestions for a holster that can hold a handgun with the suppressor mounted? I was thinking something along the lines of a TM mk.23 with the suppressor attached. Any suggestions are appreciated, even maybe some creative ideas if there is no such thing.
Thanks |

Usually an invitation to get the suppressor broken off. Less chance if you go for a shoulder holster, but overall it's rare for anyone to play with a suppressor on the end of their pistol and sitting in a holster.

You'll notice in movies and TV Shows, people put silencers on after they're taken out of the holster. It's to stop the props getting broken, and for realism. I doubt a real suppressor could handle a combat scenario inside a holster.

Best. Holster. Ever
Used it for years in airsoft carrying everything from glock to 1911 to mk23. As stated, it's best to remove a silencer before holstering, this has a space just forward of the pistol to place the silencer or a flashlight or even an extra pistol mag. I still use it now at work with my browning HP. It's expensive but well worth the money. Read up on it here: https://www.sealsactiongear.com/cata...?idProduct=539

Thanks for the suggestion roughneck. I'm not set on holstering it with the suppressor, just was wondering if anyone did it. I was planning on using the mk.23 more as a primary, but planned on using it in conjunction with a shotgun, so if I needed to holster it fast to grab the shotgun, I wouldn't have to drop it on the ground.

Go with a shoulder holster type then, even if you have to mod an existing Mk23 holster into a shoulder holster, it'd work pretty good, fast, and much less chance of damaging your gun or suppressor.

There is no way you'll holster a big pistol with a massive can like the MK23. "fast".
You'd be best to hang it off a bungee like breachers do with their shot gun via the lanyard loop and then have you backup in a scabbard. It would still be fairly awkward to have the pistol hanging off you like a dead Cocker Spaniel but if you really want to get to the backup fast it's your only choice.

The shotgun is mounted on a bungee single point sling. It hangs freely, with the barrel slipped into a homemade holder made of extra clips and straps. I like the bungee idea for the pistol as well. I could even use an m4 mag pouch and cut a small hole in the bottom for the suppressor to slip through.
Ideally, I'd like to find something like this: http://www.specopstactical.com/shop/...er-p-5150.html |
