I'll second what kos-mos said, I build custom snipers for people and I can happily inform ya that the cheap clones are a good base to start on. However like he also said u just gotta scrap all of the internal parts of the compression system and barrel etc. Even a TM VSR is gonna be nowhere near as good as an AEG just out the box. If ur serious about sniping you are looking at about 1200 just to get a reliable and decent sniper with optics and a bipod - throw in ur replacement parts which you WILL need as snipers all wear quicker in my experience than a stock AEG, and ur looking at a hefty amount.
bottom line if ur gonna be sniper/scout role ur honestly better with a much cheaper AEG that has decent to fair range as parts are cheaper and alot of the time u can get the same effects on a lower budget, but even then be expecting to spend almost 700.

A good portion of us follow an 18+ rule on airsoft, that and we are not allowed to tell minors where to get airsoft guns. You've been answered many times before, and what Cjay has said, its best just to get an AEG, forget the Sniper role and have at it with an AEG. Airsoft isn't like call of duty, just because its scoped and bolt-operated doesn't mean it shoots pinpoint accurate, and as mentioned, cheaping out on a sniper platform won't get you far. The costs of replacing parts will be on the 'overwhelming' side. |
