G36 issues

Well, the G36 is my nemesis or something!

I have 2 separate issues with 2 different G36's.

First, I received a gun with problems firing. I diagnosed that the trigger contacts were burnt and replaced them with a KingArms V. 3 trigger mech. Now when I reassemble the gearbox I don't have semi auto. With the selector in safe the trigger is locked as expected. With it in auto the gun shoots full auto reliably now with the new trigger mech. But with the selector in semi there is nothing at all.

The KA trigger mech does not have contact tabs for the selector plate to contact, so that is not the problem.

Any idea what is going on here?

Second is a problem I had with a G36 recently and another G36 a year or so ago. When I put it together the bbs only barely roll out of the barrel. I must have a massive air leak in the hop-up or something? Anyone else ever have this problem with g36's?

Thanks for any input.

What brands are the G36s.

The low pressure thing can be caused by a few things. First, KWA and SRC used non-standard hop-up chambers. If you replace then with anything else than what was on there originally, it won't work.

Second, the front part of the hop-up chamber where the two tabs are is easily broken. I found that sometimes it's only under the pressure of the spring that the hop-up moves. That cause the nozzle to jam only a few mm from the correct position.

For the semi problem, is there any noise at all when you press the trigger? If not, there is not even a contact made. Check the safety lever to see if it is not backwards. It will block the trigger just before making contact in that case.

Yes it is completely dead in semi - auto. It is a new KA trigger mech, with that installed I lost semi. The old one had semi but it shot irregularly and had to be replaced.

I noticed that the new mechanism had a different trigger throw than the original (SRC brand) mech. I had to file the hole in the lower receiver so that the trigger could pull back far enough to make the contact. This is unrelated to the problem though, because the mechbox doesn't have any semi outside of the lower as well. The first contact you get is immediately full auto, keep pushing the cutoff lever spring rearward only keeps it in full auto.

For your BB rolling out you should also check if the barrel is clean, I see a lot of people complaining and after a good clean back to normal range and power.

OK, a little more information.

I notice the cutoff lever does not allow the new trigger block to engage. I put the old trigger block and if I pull the trigger slowly I get a shot in semi. If I pull quickly, the cutoff lever disengages the trigger block too quickly for a cycle to finish.

Any ideas?

NVM. I just read your other post and it seems you thought of the problems that I had to go through

edit: I did worked on an exact setup as yours, and I notice the switch assembly was a bit tight and didn't allow the trigger to reset. I filed down the part that moves on the switch assembly and added a little grease to help it move to reset the trigger.
