Hello,
Some days ago, I was playing with Autocad and I created some 3D drawing. My first essay was an ANVIS 6/9 NVG which sort out really good. Then, I had the idea to make replica from it. I found on internet a company which make 3D printing from drawing. So, I create a store on their portal and I put some item like an an ANVIS 6/9 NVG and an ANVIS mount. You can directly order from them. I am thinking to add MILSIM props that can be use for airsoft game. have a look on my portal here: http://www.sculpteo.com/en/gallery/p...er/saracen_xh/ see ya |

800$ c'est cher un peu non?
Corrige moi si j'ai tors, mais c'est pour du rapid prototyping. Tu devrais faire un moule par la suite si tu voulais en vendre.

That satellite camera would make a nice prop too as an objective in a MILSIM.

Quick question... would the ANVIS work on a real helmet? Like, screwed on and all?

I agree - it is so expensive because of the single item/prototyping. Plus, you don't have access to durable materials--it is soft plastic. There are other sites that do online manufacturing in quantity, and you can specify materials (aluminum, wood, plastic, etc.)

If you're looking for cheap 3D printing, take a look at these: Solido SD300.
They run around $10,000 which is damn cheap for a 3D printer, as long as you have a solid model that you can create an STL file from, you can print a durable model. It works on plastic sheet lamination, so takes a fair while to print, but you end up with something you can machine, drill, paint, etc. |

This is what I was talking about:
http://www.emachineshop.com/ A site that will do production runs, different materials, etc. This one is physically located in the United States, but it is just an example. I had them make some Tanaka parts that I could not find anywhere else. Wasn't cheap, but then again, custom never is! |

sweet technology that stuff. if it could only be done with metals that would be truly awesome.
