P226 wood grips

Anybody know if they make these very beautifully, very sexified wooden grips for airsoft Sig p226 (or if ones made for RS will fit)?

Dunno if they would fit but Hogue as an interesting line-up of wood grips for the P226.

You can run into issues with the hammer spring housing.

Altamont makes wood grips for Marui/KJW Sig P226's. They are the same color (not as dark as in the picture at Tokyo Model):

RS grips would require re-working, including a new hammer spring/strut housing.

Nierbee used to make custom ones. I dunno if he still does.

Ya contact neirbee
He had pictures of a set of 226 wood grips he was working on. Not sure if he finished them or not.
I got a set of 1911 grips from him and love them.

Added onto top of consideration list! Thanks! That looks awesome! No mods required either! Plus it has sig sauer markings on it too!

@Shrike, I like hogue rubber finger groove grips for the 226 too...but it requires mods, and I already got one for my 92fs, and all black on my 226 seems kinda boring.

@DarkAngel/Gonzo, I've seen the picture of the 226 wood grips from Nierbee, but the color of it kinda bothers me. It's way too light. I prefer darker wood especially for the 226.

That'd be an interesting homemade project to try. Too bad I don't have one...

Of course, to make your decision harder, you can get the black wood grips from them too:

Yeah but wood just makes it look so classy! lol
Also only the KJW ones are 20 bucks. They seem to be all sold out. And do they require no mods on the TM? That's what I am most concerned about.

I don't think he was finished making the wood grips from the picture I saw. He asks you what type/color you want the grips to be.. Atleast he did for me.
I have the hogue grip on my 226. Totally tits
There is some material that has to be removed from the inside of the grip for both kj and tm for the hogue grip to fit. There should be a thread with the how to I'm sure
As for wood grips from kj to tm or vise versa I have no idea

If I understand correctly, the Marui P226 can accept a RS mainspring housing, which simplifies the modifications. It's just a quick dremel from there. I'll see if I can find the walkthrough.

EDIT: Here it is, really ought to archive the page in case it goes down.
