You don't need a KWA shell...

The KWA shell is a nice one but there is a lot of other options out there. It is TM compatible so almost anything will fit. If it works for now, good. When the top break off it will be a problem, but until then everything should be fine. Maybe the gear mesh will be screwed-up a bit at the piston/sector joint, but probably not enough to cause major failure. That section of the mechbox is basically only to hold the cylinder head. If you can make it stay there, even without the mechbox piece, it would work. There was that 1-piece cylinder/head for FAMAS... if there was one for V2 full cylinder, that would instantly solve every air leak and mechbox failure issue... |

get the sts if you want to use a cracked box. (isn't compatible with the madbull hopup)
or just get a new shell like the torus that goes for $60 |

Well the reason I was thinking KWA mechbox is that theres a Ver.3 tappet plate in it witch lead me to beleave that it needed a KWA M-box.
Would a regular ver.2 M-box be a direct drop in useing all the stock KWA parts? |

You know, by doing "mods" like that, you risk damage onto other components of your mechbox right? Im not knockin you for finding a creative method of your quick fix, but, be aware that you risk damaging the tappet plate, cylinder head, gears etc etc etc.
Usually when you have a catastrophic failure like a mechbox blowout, it will often take other internal components with it. Stringing it up like that just gives the box another chance to take out more components when the quickfix fails, not to mention alignment and airseal issues

That's a hilarious fix! You should email it to KWA and may be they'll be so amused that they offer you a new shell for free!
