CA M15A4 (Gun fires, then stops. Hear faint single click when pulling trigger)

Hey guys, maybe somebody out there can help me out with this issue I just started having. I haven't done anything to my gun internally, just cosmetically. The other day I was firing off some rounds at a can, and suddenyl my gun stopped firing. I pulled the trigger, and a faint click is heard, but no bbs are fired. I wait a few seconds, pull the trigger again, and it fires a few more rounds before repeating the same process. I tried a new battery, that didn't work. I checked my magazine and feeder, and there aren't any jams. Any suggestions? Im thinking it might be something related with wiring possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
