ICS - Inner Swap to Madbull Tightbore 603 mm (Not Fitting?)

Ok guys I just bought a Madbull Tightbore 603 mm. It is 1cm roughly shorter than the stock inner barrel but won't fit properly. When I put the upper mechbox in, the bolt to lock the receiver in place won't fit through all three loops. It's off by a couple millimetres. What's going on?

Double check is the c-clip on the barrel fits properly. Sometimes it will be there but stick out just enough to prevent the hop-up chamber from fitting in the barrel properly.

Check to see if the spring on top of the chamber is placed properly and fits in the barrel notch.

Basically, your mechbox is getting pushed a little bit too far back by something. That is why you can't fit the pin in there.

It seems to fit properly but it could be sticking out a bit too much. Also, is it normal that the tightbore would be 1cm shorter than the stock one?

Never heard of a 613mm barrel as stock...ICS M16?

Thing is...there is no standard for barrels...some are a hair to thick, some are a hair to thin.

Got a caliper to take readings?

It's an M4.

A caliper? I have the device to measure sizes of brake pads and rotors which could work. But ye when I put the two inner barrels side by side the stock one is longer by about a centimetre.

I'm about to try and swap them again. I'll post back with an update.

UPDATE: Ok the inner barrel fits no problems! I'm not sure what was going on but I'm pretty sure that the spring on the hop-up kept like going in the wrong spot holding it all up, once I removed that it went in so easily.

No feeding issues, works so amazingly, the accuracy was outstanding. I was pegging guys off from quite a distance with this thing!
