Random Glock 18c
So I just came into the possession of a Glock 18c, and I don't know what make it is. It has a metal slide and a new barrel that sticks out farther with threads for a silencer but would really like to get a normal barrel. Does anyone know of a way to tell what brand it is? I'm pretty sure it's a KSC or Tokyo Marui.
And as for the upgrades question, I really like the slides on Glock 17's that aren't ported, will a Glock 17 slide fit ontop of a Glock 18c and work? |

Assuming it's a GBB, the Glock you have is either a KSC/KWA or a JG clone, TM does not make a G18C also other KSC/KWA Glock model slides will not fit the automatic glocks due to the missing slot which allows the selector switch to operate.

silly question, I was thinking about this as TM finally just released a GBB G18C ... wonder if the G17 slide can be installed and just rig it to be Full auto all the time. Akin to the hicapa extreme
but supposidely the Gas guts are different then their venerable G17.. so dunno yet

How would we suppose to know what you have? I cannot see your gun from the point I am standing. Give us at least pictures before trying to identify something based on few words.

he's clearly aiming his questions at those who are experienced in the makeup of both gun's and don't need a picture, so that way he gets an experienced answer not a "I dun gone looked at yer pictures and thay's shud fit ferm what my peeper's shew may durhur" now to answer the question. the KSC g17 slide still won't fit on the g18c, having it fixed to full auto could work but where the selector is during firing something could rub or get vibrated to hell and break |

So provide some pictures in order to find out what it is, KWA, KSC, JG or counterfeited sh1t that is sold under KSC and KWA names in HK online shops. |

the thread is talking about fitting of slides, it's also established that the gun in question is a KSC/KWA or clone Glock, wether clone or not, all the grooves and slot's will still be there because it's all the same model of glock regardless if it's an original or a compatable clone. all you gotta do is know what's there, you don't need pictures, It's about fitting the slide to a g18c not looking to tell what factory it came from highlighted in red and your join date tells me your an underage student who's got free time on their summer break and decided to join airsoft... the rest of your post confirms it, we see this over, and over again all the time your no different. so chill out, you could have easily said "could I see pictures of the gun in question to confrim it's make first?" not the rude hormone rage you posted. You know, talk like a normal person? |

Panda you can fit G17 slide on G18C if you have KSC/KWA/JG/counterfeit.
If you have original slide, than you will have to dremel the bb unit, since it is too wide. If you have for instance PGC slide, than it is desined to accept G18C bbunit eventhough it is meant for G17. Now all you have to do is to remove parts 255, 256, 257, 260, 261 and 262. Now look at the part 253. This part is lifted or dropped by stick from selector switch (255). You have to determine the position of part 253 when selector is swithched to semi auto. That is about 1,5mm lifted. You can lift it with a finger and drop a cutted toothpick under it. It will work. However you will have to do that after the slide is back on the frame. Note that G18C must be in safe mode when assembled/reassembled. So you have to make part 253 lifted after the gun is assembled. Just pull the slide back, cock it and do the job. Remember to remove the toothpick and drop that part before you want to take a gun apart for maintaince. It is annoying to do this each time, but it works. For diassembly of the slide and other upgrades you can check my guide HERE. For parts diagram check KWA library HERE, because sometimes they are not shown in my posts. @Assault Pioneer - It obviously is something from KWA/KSC/JG/counterfeit, I just didnt know that the TO is satisfied with answer like that. But someone like me knows the difference between each of those listed. So I requested pictures. I could write a novel about that, but why would I if taking several pictures is easier and faster? @AngelusNex aka. Mr. Failthisisnot4chan I clam what I did. Not what I want to do. Also I do not try to be anonymus. If I were some random guy being a smarta55 in every topic than I probably wouldnt post pictures of my Desert Eagle project as I do on other forums lol. Also did you ever herd for dynamic ip? Not that I would abuse this feature but just FYI. Last edited by defasturias; July 18th, 2010 at 07:19.. |

Not that this is relevant, but I use numbers to avoid auto-censure. I think writting style has nothing to do with knowing airsoft GBBs. That is just stupid. Also I do not care if you trust me or not. Eventually when I wont be "airsoftcanada nub" anymore, you will be the one feeling stupid. Cheers.
