Vest Help

Hey, I've been doing some research on vest. I've read that Condor and 5.11 make good vests, but the problem is I have an AUG. To my knowledge, I believe that the AUG mag is thicker than an M4 mag. So that means I have to look for a vest or mag pouches that carry either mags for an AUG or a double mag pouch? However, the only double mag pouches I've seen are just two single mag pouches put together side by side. Or will an AUG mag fit in tightly?

You can find single pouches that fit two or three M4 mags.

Try getting a vest made for AK mags...or, get yourself a MOLLE Vest/Rig and use AK pouches

Ye actually the vest isn't the problem, it's the pouches that are the problem. Like ksuechuc said, just find AK pouches they should most certainly work.

A buddy of mine went from using an M4 to an AUG just recently, used a vest with magpouches made for the M4 STANAG magazine, and he hasn't had problems with the transition. the mags apparently fit just fine.

When I had an AUG (just switched to an AK recently) I used triple-deep M4 pouches, and they fit 2 AUG mags great.

Larger "universal" mag pouches fit AUG mags fine, and like Styrak said, you can get 2 AUG mags into a triple m4 pouch, or one AUG mag into a double m4 pouch.

AUG mags will fit in M4/M16 Pouches, they seem to be almost the same size as M4/M16 mags. AK pouches will fit these forsure though, and I think G36 pouches if they make them would work with the aug mags too.

VS.

Here's some ideas of what you should be looking for:

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/combat-ge...m16-black.html

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/big-drago...ug-series.html

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=6455

http://www.tacticaltailor.com/universalmagpouch.aspx

Personally I suggest the last one for pouches as it will adjust accordingly to the magazines shape.

Now for a vest, pretty much any vest comes with atleast 4 m4/m16 pouches, so all you need to really choose is a look you like I guess.

Thanks, for all the help. Looks like I'm looking for deep M4 mag pouches.

That was I!

I find no real differance, except it's a bit snug, but when your grabbing for a mag in a firefight I don't notice a deferance at all. I should add that my pouchs are double mag.
