Search on Google for reviews, especially on RC cars/planes forum. They usually know a lot more about battery chargers than casual airsoft players. Also look in local stores, it doesn't have to be bought on airsoft-related websites. I still reccomend the Piranah peak charger tho.

I know a couple RC places around KW, and atleast one in Toronto, don't know if they sell chargers there though.

I got an IMAX B6 off eBay for roughly $35 shipped. It took a while to arrive though, around 3ish weeks. Mine didn't come with a AC/DC adapter though. However, I have a lot lying around the house. I checked the specs required for the charger and found a laptop AC/DC adapter and use that for it now!

I am not familiar with airsoft.

What my question is, does the element of surprise work on a typical airsoft match?

If they sell RC anything, They'll sell batteries.. If they sell batteries.. They sell chragers..
(I have 5 Electric Helis 2x MCXs300, 1 Mcx2, 1 MSR, 1 MODDED CX3 (search ScooterVauto on the you tube) and 2 Park Flyers SUperCub and Corsair)
I have a over a dozen Lipos (4x 1c 150mah, 2x 1c 120 mah, 2x 2c 800 mah, 2c 900 mah, 2c 950 mah, 3c 1300 mah & 3c 2250 Mah) and 1 Charger that can do them all.

Just on a side note for you guys and gals in the Edmonton & PEI areas,
Great hobbies Lipos seems to out last, out shine and out perform almost ever other lipo out there.
a 1c lipo in a MCX s300 will last about 7 to 8 minutes with hard flying,
i use 3 lipos at a time, when one creaters (usually after about 25 flights) i open a new one and add toss the old one. I bought 2 Great hobbies 1c 120 mah, I opened 1 and introduced it to the mix, I have hit 49 flights, my timer rings at 8 minutes and i still get 1 or 2 more minutes before the heli starts loosing lift ..

I havent opened the other yet, but i have tossed a couple Eflight and NRG batteries during the life of the 1st great hobbies lipo.
Food for thought...

for you big power users, i know they sell a 4 or 5 c lipo @ 5000 mah muhahhaahah
Ciao
