JT USA airsoft mask

I don't have actual pics, I returned it without thinking, but now I will raise some awareness.
That mask costs $39.99 at all Canadian tire, I taken this over a JT paintball mask, and when I opened it... ooh man...
the goggle is what holds the mask together, the straps hold on the ear pieces, and the frame holds on the face portion, so no removable goggles for you. The lenses are NOT ANSI rated, cause they don't say so =p; and in the instruction booklet it says that the lenses must be replaced if shot at a range of < 10ft, even if there was no visible damage. It also says that the lenses are not meant to withstand 500 fps+. Yes, just 500 fps+, I didn't know if it was with .12 or .20s lol, so I got home, put it on a chair, and shot it with my ~400fps M16 using .28s from about 1 ft away; the result? A massive crack running vertically along the lens.

The face portion is some decently thick plastic, and withstands BBs fine. The gaps are not big enough for BBs to penetrate, and the entire thing is low profile enough to be able to aim a rifle properly (AK and M16 at least).

The ear portion is made of some very stiff foam, and should absorb energy pretty well.

In conclusion, the goggles let this thing down... Too bad it's the most important bit.

If I were you, I would stay the hell away from this. The crappytire customer service lady gave me a hard time for returning damaged goods, until I had explained explicitly that I had shot it with an airsoft gun.

Ooh, just to add, the foam sealent on the inside of the goggles rubs against the corner of my eyes; but then again, I have a really big head.

I also saw a soccer mom *gaspness* buy her maybe 10 year old son a S34P... It's amazing that some of these soccermoms will then proceed to hating airsoft when their children do something stupid...

It's back to the old ESS landstrikers with a shemangh...

Yea, i actually saw this product the other day too,

I love my arena FlakJaks, but i really wish they had some sort of face-shield option. Nothing as big and heavy as a painball mask, but just something to keep my face pretty.

looks like im still looking

the plastic IS easily removable from the goggle portion, the lower simply unsnaps from the goggle, there is one screw hidden wear the strap attaches to the goggle, that takes the ear pieces off. Safety board also says that if you drop a motorcycle helmet from higher than 3 feet you should replace it. I don't know anybody that replaces a $1000 helmet cause it fell off the handle bar. Its common sense to change your lens once a year. Personally the Spectra paintball line is better anyway. The ONLY goggles with 260 degrees of vision and thermal antifog lens availible. If you play at a paintball field you have to use paintball goggles, thats what the insurance company's want.

I realize everything is detachable, I was indicating that you cannot replace those goggles with another pair like you can on some paintball masks.

Did you read the review? These goggles are not safest to wear.

This is me crying in the inside for having a peanut for a head. I was pretending that it could be a legit mask.

The more and more I thought about 500fps limit, the quicker my dreams smashed.

If you have a narrow face, some companies (Like ESS airsoft line) make goggles for narrower faces, like Asian faces. (http://www.esseyepro.com/Asian-Fit-S..._category.html)

it's wide asian fit...
asians DO NOT have narrow faces.
My head is fucking huge, and the ESS landstrikers with normal lenses do not fit properly =p.

Since then, \I realized this thing could have been a massive lemon O.o

Exactly what Yuhaoyang said.

For the umpteenth time. Our fine Asian brothers are gifted with a flatter curve to the bone structure of their face and as such they require a flatter lens shape. This however does not translate into a smaller glasses or goggles in terms of width as they can have large or small faces just like any other race. ESS does makes various SIZES of glasses which people often confuse the Asian fit goggles. NARO's are avaliable in the ICE line of tac glasses and have a smaller nose bridge and provide better fitment for smaller faces. They also make the ESS Recon which are tac glasses in a small fit that are like their High Adrenalin series.

If your going to dispense advice about how to protect your eyes do a little research first before pointing people toward expensive products that will not suit their needs.

not expensive IMO =/
they're amazing goggles, I would use mine for snowboarding if I didn't have redonkulously expensive bolles I bought when I was mentally retarded.
you can also use it for stuff like seducing women and scaring children.
Anyways, it can stop a 12ga 00 buckshot...
good enough for me.
