g&g m16 feeding issue...help??

My (g&g clear plastic lower receiver) m16 is becoming a super pain in the ass 'cause I always have to hold the magazine back towards me as I fire for it to shoot any bb's.

All the magazines I own are quite wobbly in the magwell so I have put cupboard door pads on them to reduce that and make it snug but this doesn't fix the issue at all.

So if any of you know what to do any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

Shim the inside of the magwell with tape?

Are you sure the hopup spring is still in place (at the front)?
I had this problem when I forgot to reinstall the spring on my hopup after a tuneup

Tried the shimming thing, maybe re do it. How do I check the hopup thing? (I know nothing about taking it apart an don't wanna screw it up)

If you open the body, you should be able to pull out the hopup/barrel assembly and the spring should be fixed at the front of the hopup (Check the pic I posted; Classic Army, G&P and Element have the spring but Marui and kingarms are missing it)

To open the body: push the 2 body pins out, and slide the upper receiver foward

If holding the mags make it work then first try shimming the magwell with black tape. These g&g clear lowers are not great. If you are comfortable taking your gun apart then by all means check the hopup. But I find that the clear m4 lowers often need shimming. They are TM that's for sure.

Depending of its age the magwell can be a little worn out (plastic against metal, plastic rarely wins), putting tape on the front part of the magwell might fix the problem but the mag may become uncomfortable to put in because of the friction with the tape.

Whaddya know...no hoppup spring...so to fix it I just attach the spring and slide her in? Or is it more complicated than that?

What brand are your mags? I had that same issue with KING ARMS metal 120Rnds, Had to shim the magwell in the back so mags fit tight in it, even when I changed to metal body, I had to shim because Mags were too loose.

That marui hopup is NOT from an m16a2/m4 its from an m16vn/a1 , its a completely different design and uses a different nozzle. So dont base anything from it.
