Cavalvy PTT Button Help/Tech Support
Well I just bought a nice Cavalvy off SIN earlier this year and finally got around to painting it and using it at a game.. well it works great. Unfortunetly the damn black cap on the PTT button busted off and now I have to jam my finger in the hole.. I cant find a damn cap to fit correctly at all either. Is there a way to change out the whole PTT unit or does someone know of a fix?

Well you could buy a push button, and replace it out yourself, just a matter of opening the box, transfering the wires over to the new one and attaching it. I assume the PTT button is just simply a cut off of one wire, not wired to a chip or anything complicated on those headsets.

Epoxy on a length of plastic dowel or something similar
I may have a spare PTT in my ever expanding parts bin. I'll have a look.

Fixed it with a new button! Zing.... and locally too. I guess the old radio shack is still handy.
The Connectons are a bit smaller than the OEM button but if you have some needle nose you can press them down nice and snug. Once that is done the screw on the button tighten it up to the top of the button.. When putting the cover back on leave the button to hang outside. Screw it all together and add some glue to the edge of the button. Press it firmly back into the hole and your done. It does fit snug without the glue but I put some elmers clear glue on there just to keep it in a touch more. Button product info : Price : $5.99 SPST Push-button switch. 1.2cm (1/2") mounting hole. Catalog Number: 2750644 In all honesty It looks great, fits alot better than a piece of dowel and looks to be built alot better.

today i received my cavalvy elite2 from redwolf: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=27662
but i have a question about the elite II headset. the microphone has a metal mesh on both sides. yet on ehobbyasia or wgcshop they sell a version with an opening on one side only (and not as a metal mesh, but holes): http://www.wgcshop.com/WGC_Shop/imag...h_kentan_l.jpg also mine doesnt have a cavalvy logo engraved, but has a serial number and some other code instead. redwolf has a photo of the exact same headset i received so you can have a look. ( http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=27662 ) the box had the shiney mirror-like sticker with cavalvy writings. can anybody say what exactly i got from redwolf? a newer revision? -e- thanks sinn. glad to hear it.
