You got that right, they are great for standing around at a wet range nice warm and dry, but if you have to march or run say goodbye to your heel skin and say hello to Mr. Blister. Also the soles freeze in cold conditions so watch your step, they become ice skates quickly. On a side note I love my tan Original SWAT boots. Most comfortable and light boot I have ever worn. Not good for wet weather but for everything else they fit the bill. Look up One Shot tactical, I thinking of a new pair soon mine are finally starting to wear out. My wet weather boots are Danner Striker GTX Gortex 8". Nice and light and waterproof and stick to rocks in wet environments. The treads are self cleaning and don't gum up, just the right amount of traction http://www.danner.com/product/strike...c=false&page=1

well you can try going to opsgear.com right now cuz they're having a sale on all 5.11 products and that includes their boots. I already bought a pair from them and by god it's way better than the standard issue ones

I dont know about that website but I own those boots (payed about twice as much for them) and they are really good. Not so waterproof but light and flexible.
