Ya I heard... they want our Bayonets on the front... its kinda stupid... lol but luckely I work for a Sgt. who goes for bat for his troops and has been over there twice before so modding should be good.

The other thing I knoe 1-10 is supose to get the new TV. its just that im NSE and they might not issue us them, since priority is the BG. But we will see... I just hope I dont have to turn it back in when I get back to Canada lol.

Theres a couple rigs being Trialed.

Very good odds NSE won't be part of the Trial.

On 1-08 the only guys I saw trialing Rigs were in the BG an OMLT; I never saw PRT/CIMIC so I dunno if they tested or not. All the NSE guys were wearing the AR Tac Vests an the only non-issue thing they were allowed was holsters.



Best thing is just talk to your CoC an pick up whatever extra pouches, etc you think you may need for your tac vest.

Trials?

The rumour in Pet, last time I heard it, was that it was a TV Replacement being issued. My buddies in the BG said that they were told not to go and buy a rig that it would be issued.

Last I heard from the big discussion group they had to look at COTS rigs, etc they came up with a couple different ones to continue on with an Trial with the next couple Battle Groups an OMLTs starting with TF 1-10.

Trialing what for years? Theres been quite a few different rigs being tested. I dunno when it started but its pretty recent. An none of the rigs that are currently being trialed were part of the trials 2PPCLI BG an 3PPCLI OMLT had for TF 1-08.


Also, they just had the discussion group a couple months ago where they had a couple Soldiers from each of the Reg Force Combat Arms units an I believe some from a Sigs unit. Anyways, they had quite a few different COTS vests an chest rigs to trial an they picked a couple of them to continue on with an trial.

Ya, just saw the Army News video about it... looks like the Army is actualy doing something productive. Ya I guess it is starting with 1-10.

It looks like they are selecting some good stuff for trials.
