How so?

These don't generate enough gas to work a blowback system, so that gets rid of any Semi-auto guns, and when they're cycled they don't look like real shotgun shells...

safer yes. cheaper and practical no. talking strictly shotguns since this is really the only gun these would work in. these dont produce a muzzle flash so whats the point of them fireing them as you would sill have to add the flash in post anyway. also if you just wanted the shells cycling, why not just get already fired real shells and just cycle them. a hell of alot cheaper then buying 5 CO2 shells fore 30$

The Tanaka Works M870 costs about the same if not more than a real shotgun & its internals are pot metal & plastic, the shells aren't very durable either, so thats where Im looking in terms of lower cost. Otherwise you're right about not being enough gas for semi-auto guns.

Oh you're talking about using airsoft guns in movies...

For shotguns it makes sense to just use a real one... unless you can't get a gun wrangler or other complications like that.

I can see what you mean though.

I know this is pretty much a dead thread, but now that the shells are out, they are worth a try.

With green gas or propane, ~400 FPS.

With red gas (my favorite), ~600FPS.

With CO2, between 400 and 800 FPS.

I play with friends on our own private property, so FPS is not a problem. I recommend red gas if playing a backyard game, but on a field with limits you can use green gas, propane, or even CO2 at a low PSI.

They hurt, but not too much. Just don't put them in a real steel, they're meant for airsoft or real steel target practice.

um why am i worried. lets see not AVed, shooting hard enough to count as a real firearm and the phrase "backyard game". not a good combo if you ask me.

So basically....these aren't for a real shotgun anymore, making this thread moot.

I went and searched Madbull's site and they are not available yet.
The ones he has are for the airsoft shotguns only.
