hi
sort of new to airsoft (but have handled guns) been AVed my question is, should I pick up something NIB or go used thats been upgraded to start with and trust the seller? Looking at a G36 or any variants of a G36 budget is around $800 shipped to me As for play style lets just say the knees are shot had surgery on both Any input would be good Thanks |

get the longest G36 wich i the is the fullsize or the mg36 suport version should be good since you'll probly need to sit back a bit more because of your knees and a tightbore barrel possible a hopup and spring to shoot heavier bbs nothing over try to stick with 350fps as thats and the new is up to you tbh you might score a better deal on something gently used ;p but it also come with that fact it may have underlying problems.

I would really go for the upgraded G36 however at the same time you'd kind of need to know the seller as a good guy. Ask a lot of questions and stuff about the product, condition how much it's been used, any problems, etc.
It's really your choice but you probably get a better deal buying one thats been used and/or upgraded.

I think what he meant was use the left over money for the upgrades. Also, I agree with that.

For $800, you could get a nicely upgraded g36 off the classifieds here.. Or you could get a new one and use the extra $200-$300 left over for upgrades yourself, that way you can put the upgrades YOU want in it.
HOwever, the used path is good too, you can start off upgraded, then trade parts for ones that you'd want later on too. $800 is a nice budget to get a decent AEG in my opinion. You could go down either path if you wanted to. |

Remember though, if you're planning on playing, you'll also need batteries, a good charger, magazines, BB's, eye protection, BDU's, and maybe some kind of vest or LBV. Factor that into your budget as well.
