TM make great plastic body, look wise.

The battery is a problem. I imagine the longer handgard can accomodate a larger battery. If not, I'll go with the f%#$ An-peq whatever option or the battery bag.
The issue I had was the creaking. Creaking drives me NUTS. Especially on the 552s and G36s.

The TM one was very tight and solid. No wobble or creaks.

The problem was it cost me a shit ton of money. Also, it doesn't add any weight to the gun at all.

No weight? I mean if that's the case, do you happen to know if ICS will sell their bodies as an aftermarket product? I mean I know that the ICS 552 is supposed to weigh about the same as the JG, but i might as well go for extra realism and easier takedown.

I had the HurricanE metal receiver for my 552 and I couldn't be any happier with it. The tooling on it is top notch. But I do agree with you that you can't tell the weight difference with it at all. But I look at that as a good thing, the lighter the better.

Go get a 3-cell 11.1V Li-Po battery if you want a higher capacity battery for your 552. They're about the same size as a mini type battery but with a lot more power. I've seen other mini type Li-Po's out there and they are mostly a little larger than a standard mini Ni-MH battery. The Firefox 11.1V 1600mAh 3-cell Li-Po on the other hand is actually a little smaller than a standard mini Ni-MH battery. That's what I have to power my upgrades on my 552 and it fits like a glove.

My 552 never had any creaking issues now or before I installed my HurricanE metal receiver.

Anyways, back on topic.....

I love that quad-railed handguard that you got on your 552, maxdbunny. I was thinking of getting the same thing but all I can find is the versions made by Proud and UFC. I've never seen any that were made by G&P. The Proud one in my opinion is a little too expensive for me and the UFC one is just too cheap for me. How much did you get your G&P for?

EDIT: I just found out that the UFC version is actually made G&P. I've only seen the UFC version on AirSoft Global and on there it's named just UFC SIG552 RAS Handguard. It didn't mention anything about G&P. If that's the case then maybe I won't be getting one of these bad boys anytime soon.

Update:

So after two small accidents (1. it fell off the table and the original flash hider got bent and 2. a friend of mine smacked the suppressor on a wall and bent it) i decided to get back to finishing a few more mods

so i tucked the wire back unto the gun, and no more PEQ. Which is a good thing since it weighed A LOT. probably more than the real gun! i also added a ACOG. oh and i replaced the broken suppressor and original flash hider with one of those fancy madbull noveske ones

I realized i left my bi pod on my G36, and its in its gun bag at the office. I will update with those pics later. I did put it on earlier but didn't have my camera with me.

oh and a picture of my TM HighCapa 4.3...i couldn't resist.

I also did notice that the top rail for some reason now has a down angle...need to fix that. Or i should take off all the accessories and put them on a G&P CQB/R. However i would then just blend into the 9 million other M4's around (not that there is anything wrong with that. i think...)

Nope i dumped the PEQ. With a sling my neck started to go *ouch* so i removed the fuse cover, and wrapped it in a few layers of electrical tape and put the original stock battery back in. I also zip tied it down to the barrel (took off the battery tray) and that metal thing that holds up the barrel. there is a little rattle but not much.

I'm thinking about making this my Backup Gun. As i said earlier, i keep eyeing the G&P CQB/R. I am selling off my CA G36C to a friend of mine to help pay for it.
