Finally.

I'm aware of the inaccuracy of this on an M1A1, but at least now we don't have to mutilate 20 rounders for them!

We did buy a fair few M1928's so there are a quite a lot of pics particularly of Commando's using drum mags, but for the most part the M1A1 was used, thousands of them were bought as part of the Lend-Lease.

I do remember one picture in one of my books (don't have it to hand right now) of an M1A1 with the foregrip replaced with the pistol grip. I suppose it was mix and match for what was most useful for keeping you alive.

Thompson Verical Foregrip These guys carry the repro foregrips, all you need to do is find a longer, finned barrel, the Cutts compensator, and to move the bolt to the top and you're done! :shock: LOL

So how many rounds did the real drum hold? Obviously not 450 and are your really that willing to carry around a maraca? It's still a winding High cap isn't it?

I'm pretty sure the real drum mag held 50 rounds. This is pure memory, so don't quote me on that. :P

They had a couple different drum mag variants for the real M1928, which would have been 50 and 100 rounds.

So yeah, 450 is a little bit much but I'm still not complaining :P

I'm really hoping this sparks up someone to create a proper M1928 receiver though.

You didnt see that AGM Made a 1928 version? Ive seen two diff photos, one with the cocking handle on the right side like the M1A1, and one on top as it should be. Not sure which one was produced.

I'll shit a brick if the proper receiver was produced (bolt on top, wider etc). I saw the other one, wasn't all too satisfied... as it was just an M1A1 with a foregrip and a drum. Still searching though... if CYMA did in fact make the receiver I'm looking for again, brick will be shat.

They aren't the best quality, but they do the trick! There is a couple in Canada. It's cool to have more accessories for the thompson. Now to find a replacement barrel for mine...

Kapowee had a 1928 coming in stock, but little info on it...

Awesome! Got my grip last week, and just today got my drum mag. My Thompson looks great now!
