It's all relative. Most AEG's are light as a feather after you've used an 8.5kg G&P 249 para for a few games lol

Played a game last week with a rifle with a decent heft (~12lbs), and a full metal shotgun (~8lbs) as a secondary. Now that got kinda heavy.

Maybe you should take a TM p90, and take a m4 magazine adaptor like this one:
http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.p...de8636a42856ad So that we she can have a gun that she likes, light, and with m4 mags that can be found everywhere!! |

Jeez. Wussing out. There's a chick I play with regularly. She's about 5'2, probably 100 lbs tops, and she carries around a JG M4 S-System. That shit is heavy.
Other than a small plastic gun like an MP5 or P90, they're gonna be heavy. No way around that.

Personally, I think balance is far more important than weight. It's much easier to lug around a well balanced heavy gun than a shitty balanced moderate one.

Balance is much more important that weight. The majority of guns are front-heavy and that really makes the mechanics of holding the weight of guns different as they need to be supported.
Get her to try holding a bull-pup and she'll feel the difference right away. I had a G36 (they are all plastic/fibre polymer bodies) and it was really light (5 lbs?) and also a 7 lbs AUG that had a full RIS on the front felt better as it was balanced.

Nothing wrong with a stock full metal CQBR. So long as you don't attach a whole whack of shit to the front and upper, it's not heavy at all, + with a foregrip, it makes it quite "new shooter" friendly as they're not going to have wrist problems.
PS. She's right handed, correct? |

Try the G&G Combat Machine line, they're made of very durable and solid nylon fiber plastic stuff... Very light weight and wont set you back an arm and a leg for the gun.

I'd go for the P90. If I had my camera, I'd take pictures of my vest to show that it's not that bad for mags and such.

Get a TM FAMAS. They are very light and the externals are made out of high quality plastic.
