The pinetree line OP Was a failure because of many things. The MusicPlus thing was a bad move from one of the Organiser (We where all against it, he did it anyway because he knew the tv host...) But even before that "fuckup", people where wining about the cost, and every other rules and restrictions necessary for a 150 players and up OP.
The chairsofters where just running the bad show and spamming the thread... I'm not afraid of chairsofters, but they do mess a thread fast with their all knowing comments on how a game should be, when they don't even play and their guns still have the Hopup tag on it.
Anyway. What I learned is still true for most OP. Airsoft is still a game, and many people have other priorities in life than to front money to a game they are not sure to be able to come. Especially if it's a rainy day.
I hosted a lot of games, and when it's rainning, loosing 25% of the players is not unusual.
When I make an OP, I do it for the majority, and always plan for all the no-shows, so they don't ruin it for the rest. That leave out the "big OP" that cost a lot of money to setup before the actual game day. Sorry, I'm not rich too.
