Noobish Question about MOLLE

Okay, so I'm sure this is the noobiest question ever, but if i buy a dropleg platform with six 1'' molle loops, how many mag pouches can i fit? Is there an easy way to tell if it can fit a double? or a tripple?

Sorry, this will be part of my frist molle kit, and i don't really know anything about it.

Thanks,
-Ben

That will depend on the mag and pouch layout, but an AR mag is generally two loops wide.

Yea, AR mags, so on a six loop drop-leg i should be able to fit a tripple?

That's right - and since most AR mag pouches are two mags per "single" pouch (some up to three), that's potentially 6-9 mags on the drop. Word of advice - hike that panel as far up your thigh as you can. It stays more secure that way and is more efficient - you won't have to reach for access. All those pics of drops down to the knees always strikes me as funny.
