Very nice gato putting the c-9 but grip up front, I still remember the weapons tec giving us the harry eyeball before roto 0 when we asked him to order up a shit load.
I personally used mine on my c-8 every tour as well as back home when we go to the range. Just a note for you spectre wulfe those are the little mods that the actual troops do on our own to personalize our rifles overseas. All the pics and crap you will find from colt or damico or wherever are great, but it’s the troops that can tell you what we do to our rifles, as well as real kit we wear.

This is what you'll be looking for:
http://www.gp-web.com/en/productspop.php?pid=1918 Zero One doesn't have it I just checked. Firesupport Stocks them but they're out of stock, so I guess they would be the easiest to call up and see if they can include one in their next order/shipment. http://www.fire-support.co.uk/catego....y=7&submit=Go

First get a receiver with the correct trademarks. Then get a mechbox, M16 front end and collapsible stock. Pistol grip and motor, Then you only need an ELCAN. It will be a lot more cost effective that way and you will have a better rifle in the end. |

Spectre wulfe, abbadon is right, look at pics of troops, not colt or diemaco posters, if you want an idea of the type of accesories and mods that get done.

The G&P body is if you want to make a Danish / Dutch C8, not a Canadian one.
Your C7A2 is looking good there Spectre Wulfe, just pull off the furniture and give it a spray of OD paint. Thats what most of the C7s I've handled had, paint starting to come off and everything. I think only the brand new C7A2's have non-painted furniture. You can easily get away with not having an ambi mag catch and selector switch as not all the upgraded rifles have them. Same thing with the charging handle. I broke three of them over the course of two summers and the armorer finally just tossed an standard handle on my gat. Get a stock pad for the butt stock and then proceed to glue it on (yay for expedient fixes by armorers) The metal mags they issue for training ar'nt ALL that better then the thermo ones. (Most are super old and are standard tack welded) I broke the spine on one by simply falling on my chest during contact drills. It was fun pulling it out of my TV and watching the blanks go streaming out as I tried to reload. The followers and springs suck too, but thats more from age then anything else. You can always add a small rail for the hand-guard and add on a folding grip. The CADEX made ones are actually kinda nice. If you can't get an ELCAN you can always go with an EOtech 551/552 or a SPECTRE. Baring that, you can always just rock a simple BUIS. The issued one is not the greatest in the world (broke one last summer) as they are plastic, but are used quite a bit. My former Van Doo WO on his second tour in A-Stan told me that he used the BUIS more then then the EOtech.

I am trying to build a C7A2 rifle but am running into some problems and need some help.
I have G&G M16A3 that I am trying to mod. Currently I have the battery assembly in the back stock which is a one piece. http://i.imgur.com/InoKQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/w7QcW.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bplaz.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IRzNp.jpg Now my main problem is that Damn wire. It comes out the bottom of the receiver and does not line up properly with the tube for the stock. The other issue is that when the battery is in the chambers of the stock the wires cause collapse of it not possible. |
