I know the stock TM M14 I have is extremely hard to maneuver with behind cover due to its length. I held a Socom variant of it and it's even heavier than the larger M14!

I wouldn't add a silencer. Not until you get a feel for having a sub-long weapon in your hands and maneuvering around with it. You'd be surprised how much a long gun can get in the way.

Nice thing about the G36 is the folding stock, but as others have said, silencers add close to 8 inches(it varies) to the front end.

No silencers until you put in at least one game with your chosen gun.

There, sound fair? :P

What about a silencer on a pistol instead of your AEG? Would that suite your silencer needs?

1911 + silencer = sex

Again, once you get a feel for your gun, then you can see if a silencer is really necessary.

So what are you going to get? The Socom or the G36 , both are good starter guns i think

So long as it has a large type battery, go for it. I suggest a G3, love those rifles. Not a fan of the 36C or K versions of em though.
