I used a stock CA spring and the gun fired without issues. It seems that the hurricane spring was causing the piston to jam.

8.4v large, 9.6v mini...the size of the battery does not matter in this case sicne voltage is what powers it.. its not the batteries, trust me on this...

nvm the body was actually just blocking the trigger from firing. Thats what you get when you put a new mechbox shell in. dremeld out some plastic to allow the trigger to go back more and it worked...
