Also I'm think 350 happens to be around stock FPS for many guns AEG without upgrades. I wonder if 350 is enough speed for most shooting purposes but not high enough that would cause too much stress on mechbox parts. What I'm trying to say is I wonder if at the factory the gun designers found that 350FPS would be the limit to running a mechbox with long term use without breaking parts quickly maybe related to the monkey metal they use. ANyhow thatsjust a thought, no proof.

Anyway, I like to think that the reason that we an fps limit is not only for the safety of our players, but it also makes the game more enjoyable.

You also have to take your gun into consideration; AEG's aren't going to be reliable at 500fps unless you mod the hell out of your gun (Maybe even getting a CNC'd mechbox...). Sure, you COULD get your gun up to that level, but it wouldn't last long!
