I was thinking about that also. then we could use the AEG mags and save tons of money. The only thing I am wondering is how it would feed into the gun, because it would have to provide blowback and fire the bb. I think it would be a great idea if this was possible, but it would only work with full stock models. It all takes time. We just recently got a true working 3 round burst and from watching these vids we are getting nice GBB assault rifles without external tanks. All airsoft is going to do is evolve, and become better and better as time passes.

Personally I'd prefer the gas or CO2 in the mag, like the pistols. You would have somewhat more realistic mag capacity, and you would not have to worry about your tank running dry after losing count of how many mags you've put through it. Also AEG mags don't usually feed the last few rounds because of there design, so counting shots (if thats your thing) is pointless. I would prefer CO2 as you don't have to keep the gun right side up as you do with propane. I have had my pistols do the mag purg thing too many times while I am runnig and firing.
