Thanks Dante
Now that i think about it, it may be cheaper to take an SVD and modify it to my plan

Here's one from evike, their rep isn't the best for canadian customers, but I've had no problems personally

*Note you will need to hollow out the pistol grip for the motorcage to fit

Got ta ask, would getting the canada compliance thing make it less likely to get taken from me at da borda?

Disco_Dante April 13th, 2013 09:47

Are you not actually located in South Dakota?

Don.McClain April 14th, 2013 09:27

That question is rather confusing, but at this time i am indeed in south dakota, why?

As far as i know, that Canadian Compliance thing is really only meant for initial retail import purposes for guns in it's original packaging with documentation/listed on the CSBA import admissibility bulletin.. I believe that there are additional steps that may be required as a private owner going across the border for game purposes - at least there is for individuals in Canada who have taken their guns south-bound to OP Irene - I think that some of them just bought their sidearms in the US, and then sold/left them there at end of OP due to the border hassle involved in bringing them back home. Perhaps some of them will notice this query here, and respond further on their experiences with border compliance requirements.
