Converting ICS hicap mag to real cap
Is there any way i could turn 2 ics hi cap mags into real caps?
The outer shells of the magazines are larger then your average stagnag mags from any other brand and are the size of the real steal versions but I'm not 100% sure since i can't compare . thanks |

However, at the cost of $10 for metal mags which are 30-68 rounds, is your time worth less than $20? Go buy real mags. Sell the crappy hi-caps. |

I'm trying to sell them for so i can get a box of Star real caps but no one wants them.

Meh, it would probably cost you more in the long run in parts, material, and time than it would to outright purchase new mags.
Still, it could be a fun hobby project if nothing else.

Step 1: Throw hicaps in the garbage.
Step 2: Buy real/mid caps. |

Not too many people want hicap mags. You're better off just keeping them as backup and getting the mags you want.
I tend to use my hicaps (I have 3 of them) at home when testing work on a gun. It's easier to just pour a bunch of BBs into a mag and wind it to test a gun than to go through the hassle of loading up my low caps.

I've even seen people using them as BB storage for on the field. It's a bit loud unless it's jammed full though and you'd still need a loader but it's more compact than a bottle and more resilient than the bag.
I guess you could gut a hicap and line the inside with duct tape to make it rattle less. |

When you're looking at feeding issues with an AEG/mags...if the AEG is working right, very few guns will misfeed with a wound up HiCapa (helps pin down problematic mags). |
