VFC BAR Questions
Hi, I just acquired a VFC BAR and I am looking at upgrading it.
I am sure there are VFC BAR owners out there. Anyway, what upgrades have you installed? Thanks. |

It's my twin daughters 3rd birthday "event" that weekend. Airsoft is great but I enjoy my kids more. Here's a pic of the BAR: 3 more mags in the mail coming from Austria. And I got the SAA the other day too. If anyone does an old west game count me in. The shotty is a Marushin Guards Gun 8mm shell ejecting. If there's anyone out there that has done upgrading on a VFC BAR please post in this thread or drop me a pm. Cheers. Mike. Last edited by shiftsup; November 10th, 2009 at 21:58.. |

Oh man oh man... When I get done the German kit and move onto an Allied (if I ever do.)
I tell myself, the M1 Garand and BAR, no other weapon. Very nice looking!

Shiftup,
keep it stock the VFC BAR if yours is the steel version has the same mech box as the aluminum one they are very reliable and sturdy the only thing you might want to get done is maybe change the barrell into a longer tighbore, the stock ones if I remember correctly are pretty short (almost a full 1.25" before the muzzle) I know it's not much but an extra 1" of inner barrel can give you that slight edge you are looking for on the field. Also try to avoid a big cell LIPO I have seen a beautifull BAR gears went to the shitter after a few trigger pull using a LIPO, For some weird reason this particular mechbox don't like LIPO very much. *PS Find some extra Mags they are a bitch to find especially the lo/midcaps everyone seem to only have the Hicap but there are Lo/midcaps out there. Its so shiny!
7.4v 25c+ LiPo, mosfet and wolfdragon PCB if that's the way your going. If you get an 11.1, get a triggermaster so you can reduce the rate of fire if need be. I'd hate to see such a beautiful masterpiece out of action |

Too bad the mosfet and the trigger master didn't exist when the GEars went to the shitter and beside where in the world are you going to stuff that in the spacing in the BAR is tighter than a 16yr old virgin

If you can fit a 9.6v mini battery in the stock, you have room for a 7.4v lipo, trigger master and PCB
