Hypothetical Question.
Im sure this has been theorized upon ad nauseum, but why is there no Hong King or China company producing clear receivers?
Redwolf, in their FAQ, offers painting orange tips on their guns for American customers. Why not have a company produce clear receivers? Sure we would have to buy one with our order, but the company could even offer to install this clear receiver just as they offer to paint tips orange. I would much prefer tracking down a metal body in country, or even painting a lower, to our current system. This is really just wishful thinking, and I suppose Canada does not represent a large enough chunk of the market for a company to start making clear bodies on our behalf. But it's a nice thought, ain't it? Feel free to point out flaws in my logic, as I'm sure there are many, but lets keep this free of ad hominem. I get that enough here. CLARIFICATION: I'm talking aftermarket clear receivers to allow us to ship otherwise un-import-able guns into Canada. As Bowers put it, it sounds like hes talking about retailers like redwolf stocking clear lowers to install for canadian buyers. Last edited by MoreToasties; November 3rd, 2009 at 19:44.. |

Yes, he means that since companies like Redwolf and Uncompany already selling "customs" that are custom built. Why not have them custom build you one with a clear receiver so that you could actually import it yourself into Canada instead of relying on the CAS monopoly.

This is practically the only country in the world which requires a gay ass clear reciever.. and gun orders from canada would account for MAYBE 0.01% of the business these companies do. ALTHOUGH from a hypothetical presepective, if that happened maybe we'd actually be paying for halfbreeds what they're worth instead of the ridiculous costs we're still paying for them.

Clear bodies seem to be trickling into UK as they so far meet the requirement to be a 2-tone RIF.
But what can't you get here? Some stuff just won't get clear no matter how bad you want it. Also if the re-sellers grab a black body and swap it to clear that will not translate into the same low low price. They'll add in their labour and the value of the parts they removed and may never sell.

It would also re-open the field for serious importers and dealers without a special licence if they could order in bulk; it would surpass the whole G&G/JG/ICS field at least. |
