What to bring to get Age Verified?
Other then physically bring myself, I guess my quesiton is what (or how much since I look young for my age ) I.D. should I bring to verify my age? Like Driver's Lincense, Credit Card, Student Card, Bus Pass (says which school I go to), my grandma, although she doesn'ts know my age..... etc.
Also after verifying my age and what not, is there more I must do like a debriefying of the rules of the game, what to and not do, etc. |

As per the AV FAQ, at least one piece of photo ID. I prefer government issued ID , drivers license, PAL/RPAL, Liquor board ID, etc.
No photo ID, no AV. Fake photo ID, no AV. Wear your best wigger outfit, bring your posse and play the roll, no AV.

DL, Passport, etc. should be fine. It just needs to be some sort of photo ID.
Bring other ID if you think you'll need it. Usually the AV rep can answer questions for you and if you buy them a meal will most likely be happy to discuss things with you. Rules and such are pretty simple. Usually theres briefings at the start of the day if you go to games however don't be afraid to ask for help (in the good way, not like "what gun should I get?"). EDIT: I believe AV reps reserve the right to deny verification if they feel something bad about the person even if they're 18+ (eg. wiggers and "douchebags").

OHya while Im here, I own a bottle of Crossman .12 bb's, can I use them in a game? and speaking of games, does anyone host airsoft games during the winter in the Kitchener/Waterloo area?

I wouldn't, apparently cheap BB's can damage your gun

Anything with the names "Crossman" or ".12" set on fire immediately. The ensuing inferno will provide more entertainment than the pain in the ass those will impose on you.
.12 BBs are notorious for their crap quality, they will shred your hop-up, and are just too light for proper and predictable flight paths that heavier BBs offer. Stick to quality BBs such as BB Bastard. |

Ehhh....
Only thing I'd use them for is probably in a tornado grenade or "salt and peppering" them with .20's and .25's in a shotgun for a wider spread. Otherwise in the garbage they go. If you can't spend $15 on a bag of quality BB's this sport isn't for you (and neither is paintball either since it's like $10 for 100-150 paintballs).

Well i'd love to buy BBs from BB Bastards but i dont want to always be having to buy a bag and having it shipped it out to my house just to use them up within a week than having to buy another bag or so. But I am willing to do so if this is my only option.

So why not buy in bulk? The more you buy the more you save. Or if you fill out your profile some more (location, etc...) we might be able to help direct you to people that sell BB Bastard bbs, or anything else you might need to help you.

.12 will not work with airsoft guns. At least not any I tried.
On a side note I have a bag of Scarecrows .25 Bio BB's. I put them in a glass of water and in another glass I put some .12's. The .12's almost float, the Bio Bastards sink like lead weights. That weight is what you need when shooting an airsoft gun. |

Also where would i purchase BB Bastards BB's? The ASCMart site seems to always be sold out of them.
BTW: The gun i'd be using would be a Echo 1 E90 (I dont know if that is obvious to anyone from my signature and avatar pic) Last edited by Short Round; October 6th, 2009 at 23:08.. |

In the BB Bastard website there is a list of people that help retail BB Bastards known as Local Bastards. The closest one I can think of off the top of my head is Army Issue. In Port Credit (Mississauga) its an army surplus store, the owner sells BB Bastards and he also is an Age Verifier. Among other things in his loveshack you will NEVER walk out of there without having bought something. Take some time when you have spare time to saunter on over there and get two birds stoned at once.
