Empire E-Vent vs. V-Force Profiler
Is it worth spending more money for the V-Force Profiler mask as opposed to less for the Empire E-Vent mask? I've read tons of reviews and the general consensus seems to be that the Profiler is slightly better than the E-Vent because its better ventilated, I believe the Profiler covers slightly more skin on your face and when you talk with it on, less sound bounces back toward your ears. Other than that however, they seem to be equal is quality.
I'll be using this for CQB and my primary weapon is a pistol. I know there are some concerns among other airsofters that its hard to use your iron sights because the mask gets in the way, but since my primary weapon is a pistol I don't think that would be an issue. I also don't see myself playing outdoors for the next little while. With that being said, which mask is the better one? I can get a used Empire E-Vent for approximately $50-$70, but its usually a non-black or OD colour (eg. yellow, red, blue), although that isn't a big deal because I always have the option of painting it. Should I save up and get the $100-$110 V-Force Profiler instead? I would be buying it from the States (unless somebody here is willing to sell me one ), and I could choose from a variety of colours including a black/OD colour. Any input or advice on these two masks to help me make up my mind would be appreciated! Last edited by Slono; September 21st, 2009 at 20:07.. |

Hey man, I play alot of paintball and own both those masks, and I really prefer the Event. Its more comfortable, the lens is higher quality and it comes with a tinted one too. The events has a narrower jaw protector so if you so eventually want an rifle its easy to aim down a rifle with it. Plus there is a Canadian ebay retailer who sells new ones for under $50.

In my opinion, the e vents is better for airsoft. They fit a lot closer to your face and you have a wider field of vision.
The JT proflexes are also really nice for airsoft as well. The face protection is removable and soft enough to bend it upwards, so you can more easily look down your iron sights (that's if you plan on getting an AEG in the future). The holes on the mesh are quite big - bbs can barely pass through it, but they are slightly cheaper than both the events and profiler. The Dye I4s are also real nice for airsoft. They are on the pricey side, but they are the lowest profile mask on the market. The mesh protection around the jawline and chin is quite soft and narrow, which makes it easy for you to look down your iron sights. The lenses are HUGE, giving you a great field of vision. |

Apparently the "Save Phace" masks are pretty good too. Maybe you should add that to your list and check those out.
