F4 Firepower Grinding Noise
When I shoot my Firepower it will start making a grinding high pitch whine. Usually it will fix itself if I hold the trigger. When it does this the gun will not fire and I have to call myself out.
Does anyone know how to fix this? |

Im going to assume this is a Walmart special type gun, im which case you would have to replace the whole thing.

No its not a walmart gun. Um its a Palco Sports Firepower F4. Its nothing speical by any means. I bought it from a paintball dealer who also sells airsoft gear.

In that case, you want to find out if its compatible with any parts, such as TM. Then replace the parts that are broken, or take it to your gun doc.

The Firepower F4 is by no means "airsoft", more like glorified Walmart clearsoft.
And it's not TM-compatible. |

Well after we've all done making fun of my CRAPPY GUN which I was well aware of could anyone tell me what could be the problem? Battery, Gearbox? Motor?
Is it fixable is it dead? |

I'm no expert AT all and don't quote me on this, but something is probably stripped. Your best bet is to find a local gundoc and ask him, and see if he will be able to fix it. If not, save for a reliable gun.
EDIT: And we weren't making fun of your gun, we all understand not everyone has the budget or just doesn't want the best at first. Upgrade the player first, then the gun |

Thanks, how would I go about finding a gundoc in my area?

I own a Firepower F4 pro and its basically a Well R6 which has a gearbox v2 with a 300mm barrel and 2 piece plastic hop up. I replaced my hop up rubber already, gearbox with a Dboys 7mm and made Dboys mags fit but still its abit hard just a mag slap usually does it.

The only thing that isn't really is the receiver in the sense that the buffer tube is not actually attached to it, but rather "clips on". So installing a new buffer tube / stock or a full stock wouldn't worth with that receiver. To me, that sounds like a motor height problem - more than likely the motor is too low. You can adjust the height with the small screw at the centre of the grip plate. Turn it clockwise a bit, and try again. Repeat till the screech goes away. One warning though. If it IS the motor height and you've been using it regardless of the noise, chances are you've stripped your motor's gear or your bevel gear.
