PM5A5
I just bought my first gun, a G&G PM5A5, I love the look and the feel, however I feel a bit underwhelmed by the power, it really seems weak. And sometimes in single fire mode it shoots 2 BBs instead of 1 is this normal?
Also I don't like that you have to crank the charger, are they all like that? (The guy also sold me a plastic charger that seems to be spring loaded, but it holds only a few BBs and feels really cheap) I also got a BRONS green/red dot sight (Aimpoint 4MOA), very good looking, however there are no instructions, there is a way to calibrate this right? |

By charger you mean magazine, right? All high capacity magazines have the wheel on the bottom that you have to spin to maintain spring tension in the magazine, since they feed from a large reservoir of BBs and not a single continuous tube. The lower capacity magazine should hold around 50 BBs, and it probably feels cheap because it's made out of plastic, where the hi-cap is made of metal. Not as realistic, but cheaper to replace when you lose them in the field.
I'm not sure what you mean by the gun feeling weak. It should be shooting around 330-350 FPS, which is actually a little higher than average for an unmodified gun. If you're talking about recoil, I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed, as electrically powered airsoft guns typically have little to no recoil. You should be able to unscrew a couple of caps on the dot sight (it varies from model to model) to access the elevation and left/right adjustments. |

Thanks, yes by Charger I meant magazines, scuse my frenglish. By the gun feeling weak, I mean I can't really check the FPS but it seems slow, but of course I am use to shooting pelet guns so it might only be my perception.

is it normal that in single fire mode it shoots 2-3 BBs sometimes instead of 1? Is this because of some settings, or is my gun defect?

Could be an issue with your Hop-up or the magazines. What do you mean by "sometimes" though?

Well one out of 5 shots has more than one BB, I don't think this is normal and the gun is brand new. Any adjustments I can make?

Your cut-off lever may be finicky. In order to get at the cut-off lever, you'd need to open the gearbox entirely. I'd recommend that you either send it out to a gun doc or send it back to the store you bought it from.
Where did you buy from anyways? |

I bought it for Surplus IG in Montreal, I will go back there tomorrow and change it for another one. The guy there seems ok, but we'll really see about post sale service tomorrow.

is it shooting 2 bbs with one "shot" sound? or is it (on semi) firing 2 separately with 2 shots but only one trigger pull? if it's the later of those 2 it's just that you have a powerful battery, My friends AK fires twice on semi with his Lipo.

MP5s sometimes fire 2 rounds in semi. No idea why.. most of them do it though.

My TM does it sometimes. I know a few other people with MP5s (TM and JG) that do it. Has something to do with the design of the selector or something in the MP5.
