Okay so, time for a big bad AEG >:O

In the near future, when my boss decides to actually give me some damn hours (recession, yay :|), I'm going to be buying a full size assault rifle for outdoor matches.

Now my main dilemma is that there's a difference between what's most upgradeable and what's most durable and such, and what rifles I actually like.

The first thing I'll say before anyone fires off the names of their fave rifles at me is that I do NOT want an M4/M16. Seriously. I know everyone uses them and such, but I'm honestly not a fan of the M4. Aside from me not liking what everyone else likes, I kinda want to be original in my weapon choice

The rifles I was looking at were:

-CA Steyr AUG A1 (yes, A1. I like the look of the fixed scope better)
-A brand of HK416, honestly I don't know which. JG?
-F2000, does anyone even make the real deal in airsoft? I saw there's a FS2000 (which is the civilian version right?), but I'd prefer the F2000.
-A modern looking AK74 or AKM (I know that's not very specific, but... If you know of any modern looking AK's, holler)

Any suggestions on my favorites and any of your personal favorites are very welcome. This will be my first "big" AEG and I'd like to make the right decision.

Thanks a chunk

If it's strictly an outdoor gun I guess an M14 might do the trick.

I would definetely not recommend the M14 for a newer player. It is probably one of the more unfriendly guns for newbies. The parts are all ver.7 gearbox specific and uncommon and more expensive. The gun takes about 3 hours to break down if you are doing upgrades or repairs and has a million small pieces you can lose easily. It also weighs a ton and is long and unwieldy for players not used to it. It's a great gun otherwise

I don't wanna argue or anything but he wanted "unique". I guess the AK and it's V3 box might be a better buy because it is more common.

BUT One would assume that he would go to a gundoc for any repairs/upgrades. The only problem is if he charges by the hour then a simple upgrade might end up costing a lot more than expected. I guess he'd have to do all the upgrades he'd want all at once then.

Unique on the field, dependability, ease of operation and virtually maintanance free = KING ARMS FAL CARBINE - V3 box, no upgrades needed out of the box, deadly accurate for indoors and outdoors.

How about ICS L85A2 ? It's perfect for indoor and outdoor due the quick spring change of the mechbox.

One pin out, split the gun and pull out the spring guide put new spring in then you are good to go. You don't even need a new spring also since it has a 3 hole to set up different fps on the mechbox.

I concur. Excellent choice. But the full size rifle is preferable for range and looks.

You don't want an F2000 unless you plan on hanging it on your wall.

The overall build quality is not impressive one bit.

Id say get a JG or Echo1 G36, their pretty much the same company, Echo1 is rebranded, but anyways, G36 looks great, and they perform great, and the new JGs are amazing quality for the comparative price with TM and CA and all, i got my Echo1 G36c for 250

JG 416 new version
King arms FAL
CA AUG A1 or A2. I would prefer the A2 so I get my own choice of optics.

Aren't you trapped with maracca like hi-caps with the FAL though? I thought there weren't low/mid caps available. Nothing says sneaky like the "cha cha cha of BBs... oh and wretched winding...

Dude let me give you some good advice, if your a first time AEG buyer, get a Tokyo Marui AK 47, full shoulder stock version. This comes from personal experience, I got my first AEG at 14 years old, way before age verification and all the new laws. It was a TM AK 47, and ever since that time I have had quite a few guns but I miss my AK 47. The reason I recommend this gun is because I had it for five years and shot tens of thousands of rounds through it with no care or maintenance and it was outstanding all the time. But I think get the Full stock one because you can use a large 3300mah battery and that will let you shoot the whole day.
