Bringing Reciever less guns across boarder
Since the only illegal part of the airsoft gun to be imported was the receiver, is it possible to bring over guns from across nation with receivers removed?

Also keep in mind, they still can seize it if they find it supecious. Honestlyh just dont import airsoft your self since its still a gray area. If you bring airsoft w/ failiure to declare you could face criminal charges

thanks for the tips, maybe i should ask my lawer before i make up my mind, i could break down the gun into the last piece, even the gear box, and declare it as toy gun/RC hobby parts.

Uhh anything else than a reciever is fine.
If the reciever you bring over is black, then you cannot bring it over. If you have the gun in parts without the reciever, than it is fine. Seize legal items? You're telling me a stock, pistol grip, gearbox, front end; barrel and handguard are prohibited and will get seized? Wrong. |

My advice would be to mail it home minus the receiver.

And what gun are you trying to bring over? If it's an M4/M16 based, you can bring over only the upper reciever, the lower you cannot, except the lower can be transparent.

But 8thArmy said he/she wants to bring over an item. BUT, didn't mentioned how.. There are no other retailers outside Canada that would take an AEG in pieces for 8thArmy. And 8thArmy, where would you find another reciever? You're not AV'd yet, so basically you'd have a non working AEG? |

I was thinking of bringing guns apart physically through either mailing or flight luggage.

I know your technically allowed flying with them and what not if they're declared but to me it's not worth the possible hassle and any questions you might get. Hell I remember someone saying CBSA stopped they're mechbox because it looked like a pistol. It eventually got through ofcourse but it's just not worth the possible hassle to me so I wouldn't luggage it unless it was completely broke down.
There's law, Then there's the interpretation of the law. |
