Simple Noobs

Hello All,
my cousins and I are new to airsoft. We live in the GTA. We are pretty intimidated as again we are noobs, I mean we dont have fancy equipment etc. Is there a place in the GTA, indoors or outdoors that we can play by ourselves until we get more confident and better equipment?

Ideally a private field?

No need to be intimidated!!

Airsofters are very welcoming to new players that are willing to listen and learn!

The best way to get better at playing is to play against those that are better than yourself and learn from them!

... with the caveat that you're 18+. Under 18 = no play.

Defcon Paintball

Look no further!

Here is the Noob staging ground for everyone who wants to get their feet wet into Airsoft

All you require is that your gun shoot under 350 FPS and you are good to go

You can play in anything your hoodie and jeans, your pyjamas, your underwear or go naked for all you care so long as you are wearing a Paintball mask or a Certiefied Half mask with strong goggles that can withstand BB hits and I don't mean those ghetto ski goggles

Defcon Paintball - Best place for those who want to begin

One of the upcoming games May 17th
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=81918

Heres me playing in one of our themed games, you don't have to have a pistol but sometimes we run pistol games for fun

Its usually not this dark as we requested the lights to be turned low for some of our games

I'm new to airsoft myself. I dont have the gear or even a AEG yet. My best advice, is go to casual games (rent a AEG, if you don't have one), don't be afraid to ask questions about gear, events, ect... I got lucky enough to go to a great event with a good group of guys who really helped me out and knew what they were talking about.

You too go to DEFCON PAINTBALL

No need for special gear

Mask
Gun (under 350 FPS)

Good to go for fun.

Tell people you are a noob and they will help you through anything you need

you will not grow in confidence "playing with yourself"

Grab you guns and what gear you have and get out to a game.. Everyone was a noob sometime.

Having just gone to my first event myself out in B.C., I would advise you just not worry it and head to an airsoft match. The people are friendly and helpful, and they'll give you pointers on playing. Plus, if you don't have an AEG already, you get to test one out so you can make a more informed purchase.

Airsoft players aren't like your girlfriend's father. You don't need to fear them.

if u only have an aeg, then you can use it in a pistol match on semi and with very limited ammo, to simulate using a pistol

If you are interested..

If you are over 19 try to come out to a TWAT game. The field is in Brampton. Many people are introduced to Airsoft through the TWAT's. People at these games are always willing to show you their gear or answer your questions. Just read the TWAT team thread before you sign up so you know what youre getting into.
