Painting Matte Black

Hey guys, My AKs-74u is Matte Black(steel) And the magazines i bought are very glossy. So for the last two days, I've painted them matte black. Now my problem is i want to keep the matte black, because it matches the gun perfectly. But my clear spray paint is very glossy, and will get rid of the matte. Will the matte black stay without the clear? Or is there clear matte?

EDIT: Also, where can i find clear Matte if there is such a thing?

Thanks in advance.

don't bother adding a clear coat, just tons of color. use 2 cans.

Or you can sand blast it, that will make the body dull.

Krylon makes an excellent matte clear finish. I use it on all my gun paint jobs. Spray on multiple thin coats (think about 15) and voila...matte finish and a tad more rust proof.

I more concerned about it scratching/rubbing off than rust.

bleh...the stuff dries in minutes. You want something that will look good and last, or be runny, chipped and crappy looking? Your call...ya may save a half hour if you wanna just do 2 coats. Watch some TV, spray it lightly every commercial break. Done.

Haha sure thing. I'll just add some more coats tomorrow, when it's sunny again.
