UnCompany

Hey guys, I've recently found some vests and chest rigs on Uncompany that I'm interested in. But i don't feel comfortable with paypal, or using my credit card for online purchases, so my question is, Do you think they would accept Pre-paid credit cards from Van city? I looked on the site, but to no avail on if they'd accept, or not accept it.

Any help would be great.

I thought you could use prepaid credit cards in the same situations you could use regular credit cards in?

I'm not sure, that's why I'm asking. And i just don't feel comfortable, seeing as my credit card number has been stolen several times, and i don't need the trouble right now.

Do you feel safe buying something in a store, when its possible to have devices to read the signals sent out by the card reading machines?

Paypal is ultra safe. I would not be THE only payment service used by all online stores.

Paypal is the simplest and most secure way to pay online. Simple as that. It doesn't expose your credit card or financial information to any buyer.

As for prepaid credit cards, you can use them exactly the same way as you would a regular credit card, so long as you have the funds available in your account. There shouldn't be any problem using it with any vendor in the world that accepts that credit card.

I'm actually super paranoid and usually only pay in cash, and I despise credit cards I have one but that's only to get a credit rating.

Paypal is quite secure (albeit a company that likes to screw their customers). You could probably e-mail UNC and ask if they accept credit cards. IIRC there is almost no way of knowing if it's a prepaid credit card or not, anywhere that accepts credit cards will automatically accept prepaid CC's.

Otherwise you could probably create a new paypal account (not sure if that's against the TOS though) and link your prepaid credit card to Paypal and pay that way.

Ok, well I'll think it over about PayPal, although just using a Pre-paid credit card seems safer and easier. Thanks everyone.

I think you can use those pre-paid "Vanilla MasterCard" cards on PayPal.

I have used paypal with UN a couple of time and had no problem. I have messaged them with questions... very quick to get back to me. The only thing is that their website works funny sometimes, the checkout basket looses the items you put in it sometimes (may have been my comp. cookies off) other than that no issues.
