Metal!!
Ok so Im a Canadian living in Italy for a couple of years, and Airsoft is pretty liberal here compared to back home with the only "real" restriction being on velocity of your gun (100mps). I have bought a beautiful full metal M4 and have basically resigned myself to the fact that when I leave here, I will have to leave her behind, as CBSA would most likely have a fit if I tried to bring it back!
But I see gallery pics with full metal jobs, and am guessing that there are, at least metal parts available.... is that right? I am not age verified, and like I said live in Italy, so I wont be able to check the classifieds. Hoping that at the very least I'd be able to replace my rifle when I get back. Cheers, Jbone |

A full metal M4 is not something that would be difficult to get once you're here and age verified. The M16/M4 style is probably the most popular type around. The cost is probably going to be considerably higher then you're used to (think two to three times higher) but provided you're willing to put in the money it would cost then you will have no trouble at all getting a full metal M4.

Well, technically you can import pretty much everything but the reciever yourself. You can get a G&P body for around $200 here, and a JG body for about $100. So, after you've built up your beautiful rifle over a couple of years, just strip off the metal body, throw everything else into a box, and ship it home; buy a new body here and reassemble. Just make sure you don't ship mags with fake bullets in them; Canadian Border Services doesn't like them, either.

I thought that CBSA was seizing things like metal handguards as well? But, yeah I guess it makes sense to strip it and ship it.
As for expense... things are pretty pricy here as well. I think my M4 was 380 euro stock. like this: |

Strip and ship, leave the reciever.
Stocks, grips, sights, optics, front ends, internals and barrels are good to go. At 380 Euro, youre looking at pretty much the same pricing as something like that would be in Canada, give or two a few hundred depending on what it had for internals and what brand externals are.

ok... same question but this time with pistols. I would assume things might be a little more strict with trying to bring in a full metal, blow back hand gun.
That the case? |
