Broxa Upgrades

Hi I'm relatively new to airsoft and as my first gun I bought the Aftermath Broxa, it has performed really well and held up to a lot of abuse ( i.e dunked in snow, dropped etc.). I've put about 20-30 thousand rounds through it and I'm ready to upgrade soon. I'm mostly interested in increasing ROF and have considered switching to a 9.6 V battery. My question is what upgrades should I consider in order to compensate for the higher voltage (if any) as well as what other stock parts I should consider replacing that are suspect in this clone. I've done some research and haven't been able to find much on the Broxa, nowhere near as much as the Kraken. I'm pretty handy but there is so much to absorb I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks.

The broxa is a v2 mechbox so theirs plenty of upgrades. How much are you willing to spend?

U could increase milliampage, get a higher torque motor

but then again rof and fps hardly do anything unless u have a nicer barrel.
It only takes one shot to hit someone =]

I'm willing to spend around 200-300 bucks maybe a bit more. Good point about the one shot one hit, its really more about this becoming a hobby for me and getting to play around with taking the gun apart and having fun tinkering and scaring my buddies

for rof, get a nicer motor and a big batter, does broxa have big/small batter? Get like a 3300 mAH taht'll scare anybody haha

then for fps get a nice spring and a higher volt battery O_O

I still think upgraded hop up and barrel will do u better =]

Should I worry about eating up the gears?

Impulse bought the batteries already hence the upgrades, Broxa takes a mini batt, not too much room in the stock.

if you want to upgrade the rof put a 9.6v battery in and let it die on stock parts (could be long) then repair it with upgrade parts (don't forget to put sorbothane pad on the cylinder head for preventing the mechbox from cracking (v2 gearboxes are subject to crack just before the cylinder head!)

hope this helps!

That sounds scary. Should I do that before starting to use the 9.6V battery to prevent the mech box from cracking or wait until after the upgrades?

ideally you should do it before and since you are at 30k rounds on it i would really recommend it! you can get a sorbo pad on airsoftparts.ca i own 2 of these in both of my ak's and they are sweeet make the gun a little bit quieter! and do you have installed metal bushings and reshimmed the gears? (important)

doesn't voltage only increase fps?

dude you gotta understand that even with a nearly dead battery your gun is gonna fire at the exact same fps that it fires with a fully charged battery voltage and mah only increase rof!

FPS is not effected by the voltage of the battery.

Voltage also does not always equal a faster RoF for instance a 9.6v mini has less RoF than a 9.6v large battery.
