siezing v2
ok... just recieved my new gun, and it worked perfectly fine. I painted it (puting paper in the mag well, anti jam rod in the barrel, and taped the battery wires up completly). I went to use it the next day and it siezed... it randomly shoots, and when it shoots it seems like its trying to hard and not shooting at full power. Then it stops completly shooting and just makes a little noise when i pull the trigger. Keep in mind this is brand new. Can anyone help me out? im also a noob to the techy stuff in the gearbox if it has something to do with that.

Charged you battery?
Sound like it is dead. You might have a loose wire in it too. What brand is it? |

Doubtful that it has anything to do with the paint, but you are better off taking your rifle apart and painting each piece to avoid a mishap and painting something that shouldn't be painted. But yeah that sounds characteristic of an empty battery.

You should bother taking the AEG apart.
It's really not that hard and you dont have to open the gearbox to paint. It's a good habit to have for when you need to do that spring cleaning also so you might as well start now. |

its a AIM M4A1.. yea its cheap.. but it suprised me out of the box actually haha..(it was shooting through the bottom of a pop can out of the box...) The battery was the first thing i checked.. i used my brothers charged battery and it did the same thing. I'll pull part of it apart and check if theres a bb or somethin jammed i'll also check the wires.

it kinda sounds like the place i bought the gun off of must of put a upgraded spring in it if it was shooting that fast and needs that much power to run (if its a battery case)... that kinda worries me of the other internals and how fast they may wear out :S

my brothers d-boys v3 gearbox is doing that same thing i think, but i dont think its the battery exactly
depending i think on how you pull the trigger it will seize up and only click when you pull the trigger. it does this with both mini and large good brand batteries even when theyre fully charged. the only thing that fixes it and gets it shooting again is plugging my lipo battery in and firing the gun. other than that the gearbox sounds and fires quite smoothly
