CF Helmet
If I don't want to get a real CF helmet, would the MICH or the PASGT do the trick? If so which one? Any suggestions?
Thanks. PS-I'm going for a CF look. Last edited by warbird; June 9th, 2008 at 20:23.. |

The MICH is more recent and cooler than the PASGT.
Is you prefer the PASGT, I got a real one for sale. cheap.

I have a PASGT replica helmet. It's close to the issue CF helmet (I have one of those too). The issue CADPAT cover fits over it. It's not a perfect fit, but it fits. Don't know how much close the MICH is to the CF though.

The MICH and Gallet (CF helmet) are almost identical. Some variation in the suspention and straps I beleive.
I heard they are made by the same manufacturer.

Gallet does make the MICH line as does Gentex and MSA. I think there is more that supply the US too.
If you line them up, our CF Helmet (the "NSN" eludes me right now) is closest to that of the 2002. Its like half way in between the 2002 and the 2000. I think MSA made some "CF Helmets" too at one point, not only Gallet, as I think it is listed on ther're .mil site.

When these helmet were first issued, did they come with woodland
camo cover used on the metal helmets?.Would the old WL camo cover fit on these helmets easily or is it a pain to work with?. |

The CG634 helmet is based off of a french/dutch helmet with Canadian Modifications. It was first peice of kit issued with CADPAT.

And the suspension is piss...although you don't notice it too much when you're busy.
+1 for grabbing a MICH
