Question Gas Problem!

i just got my KJW M9 full metal GBB but i seem to be having a problem with it. it came with 2 mags and when i charge them everything works perfect, theres no hissing or any sign of a leak. when i start firing the gun it has really good power and a strong kick, but as i near the end of my mags capacity its power decreases and sometimes doesn't even have enough juice to finish out the mag. its yet to lock back when the mag does run out of ammo.
this is getting really frusterating because its new, any suggestions would be very appreciated. Thanks!

That's common for a GBB. When you're nearing the end of your gas, power drops dramatically and the slide won't lock back. I think my friend has a KJW M9 but he usually gets through a full mag of BB's. What kind of gas are you using? And how are you filling the mags?

How many shots are you getting from a full mag?

Is it cold where your useing it. cold gas=less shots.

With my stock KJW M9, I was getting 2 full mags of BBs on one 7-second propane load. I would experience the same low power on the last couple of BBs of the second mag though, and more often than not, there wasn't enough pressure to lock back the slide. Once I upgraded to the 190% recoil spring, I can only get about 30-35 shots out of a full load. And the slide locks back every single time without failiure.

Could also be a lubrication issue.

I was thinking perhaps lubrication and temperature issues as well. When I first installed the metal slide on my P226, it took a few mags worth of BBs before the silicone oil worked its way into everything and the action became nice and smooth. Since the metal slide upgrade, the gun is a gas hog, BARELY giving me a full mag of BBs on 1 fill. I had it at a friend's place in the country over the weekend for some outdoor shooting, and due to the cold, I could only get about 15-17 shots out of a fill before running out of gas.

So depending on the temperature where you shot the gun and whether or not you lubed it up, that could be a factor.

alright i fired 2 mags worth and the gas did not last all my ammo. it left about 5 in each, so i'll get about 20 shots out of a mag. i did a 5 second fill on both, and i've realized that the power and recoil goes down quite alot from first shot to last. its not being shot in a cold room.
some of you mentioned lube. where and what would need it?

Also, after charging the mags with gas, make sure you give them some time to come back to room temperature before you shoot from them (as above, cold gas = less shots).

And, some mags need to be filled differently than others. My KSC Glock mags need to have the valve pressed hard all the way down to fill, but my KSC MK23 mags need to be pressed halfway down. Make sure it sprays liquid gas to tell you when it's full, it's not about time really, more about getting that sprayout.

Try filling your mags about 7-8 seconds. That's how long I fill them on my M9.

Are you putting a drop of oil in the propane adaptor every time before you fill the mag.
