KJW M9 Gas Hammer
Hi there. I took apart my M9 full metal because I had to replace the trigger spring. When I put it back together, the trigger works awesome, hammer works awesome, single action, double action. However, something must be wrong with the gas hammer because nothing happens when I pull the trigger.
This is the hammer assembly...dealie... And the two pieces above are what's causing the problem I believe. I'm just not sure how they fit. And the diagrams aren't much help for these parts This is showing where the hammer goes, and that it can swivel. Because it can swivel, it must not be hitting the valve on the magazine, and not firing. I'm thinking the spring somehow makes it all work, or maybe I have the parts together wrong. By the way, the hammer has a space inside for the spring to fit, but i put it in there and attached it to the hammer piece and it didn't work. Help? |

Crap. I put it together like the linked thread said, and when I pull the trigger, the hammer cocks back, drops, and nothing happens. I can even see and feel internally that the gas hammer is dropping every trigger pull. Help?

Not sure if this will help or not but here:
http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forum...howtopic=67135 it's for an HFC M190/M199 but it might be close enough. |

You need an account for that. I don't have one.
Bah, I'll make one. |

Bah, still didn't help me. I was missing the spring on the outside of the hammer mechanism though.

I completely mangled that spring on the outside of the hammer mech by accident a couple weeks ago, It was totally destroyed because I wasnt paying attention, just by chance I took apart a random pen, found the length of spring, snipped it off and shoved in inside, works great!

Does it need to have tension when it's in there? Or not? Or what. Cause I put in a different spring and it still isn't working.

Great, now I'm afraid to take my KJW M9 apart to replace my shattered trigger spring. Why did they cheap out on such a small part that sees constant usage? Idiots.
Can you tell me where you got the spring from? Sorry, I'm no help... post a thread at Arnies, they always help out fast. Cheers, Alex

Um...from another M9....a KWC...but it wasn't from the same place...
And it didn't work. I'm still waiting on Mr Jon's answer. |

it appears that it does requires tension, it has to push up on something and im not sure what its connected to, perhaps the valve striker in some way, but again it's possible that the spring isnt the issue in your case.

Yeah it pushes on the valve striker, but what the hell else could be wrong? all the other parts are there in the right place. Maybe the hammer spring is worn out/not powerful enough?

why did you take all that apart, when I replaced my trigger spring, I never touched the the hammer or any of that? It is funny though the real steel's have the same problem w/t the trigger springs breaking.
